laughter -guy with cherry on his nose

As you know, laughing increases your threshold for pain, lowers blood pressure, reduces stress hormones, and triggers the release of endorphins – your body’s natural painkillers. A good chuckle can even be contagious, uplifting the mood of those around you and enhancing the quality of …….yes, even you’re DATING experiences.

Here’s a few self-induced, laugh therapy warm-up tips to try prior to your stressful DATING LIFE;

Tip#1: Stream 30 minutes of your favorite comedy while getting ready for your date; after all, an episode of Brooklyn Nine-Nine or a Comedy Central rerun is far more likely to put a smile on your face than your newsfeed.

Tip#2: That long ride to your date can sometimes be tortuous so downloading humour to your playlist will make your commuting journey a lot easier to take if you have something to listen to that tickles your funny bone.

Tip#3: You don’t have to bust a gut to reap the rewards of laughter. Even smiling when you don’t feel like it can change the mood and relax your body language.  So smile more!
